Two weeks ago was a very difficult week for me because I received a letter from my football coach that I have been dismissed from the team that I have been playing in for the past three years. The reason for my dismissal was because I haven't been to a training session or matches in the past four weeks. When I read this letter I was disheartened because I grew up in that team. At first I was angry because I was thinking how can they release me when I have done so much for them, then I thought again and I realised that the coach took the right decision because I have let the team down on numerous occasions. I have let them down in cup matches, league matches and tournaments.
On my last blog I said that I was going to the football ground to talk to my coach and explain to him why I have been missing training sessions and matches. I went to the football ground this past Thursday and I did not meet my football coach there so I went there the next day after college and I saw him and he sat me down to speak to him. I explained to him that the reason why I have been missing training sessions and matches is because I have been too busy with my BTEC level 3 extended diploma and I do not have time on the weekend to come to football because I always have coursework to complete or catch up on my Maths. I also explained to him that I have to devote my time to my qualification because I want to achieve D* D* D in order to study computer science at Kings College London. He said to me that he understood the situation and that I should have at least called him to tell him what the situation was or come down to the football ground to tell him. He said that I could come to train in the holidays which was what I was hoping for. This means I will back on the training ground in the half-term holiday in the week commencing 27th - 10 - 2014. I am not expecting to play in the next match because it would not be fair on the boys that have been at the training sessions week in week out.
Objectives For next week
Next week is the first holiday that I am going to have since I started college and I my plans for the holiday week is to complete all the assignment that are due for the month November so I can go back to college fresh, completing this work will give me the chance to proofread my work and maybe get my teachers to look over it and point out mistakes for me to adjust or tell me if I am in the right track. Another thing I am doing this holiday coming is going to train with my team, this is a chance for me to have some fun and have a kick about.
What I need to develop on next term
Next term I need to make sure that I complete all my assignments before the due date so I can avoid having to do them last minute. The reason why I need to do this is because if I complete my work early I get to proofread it and last minute work is always rushed, which makes it less likely for me to meet the criteria. Meeting the criteria is something I need to do in order to get my target grade at the end of the two year course.
